Hanging Up My MVP Award
This is my last week as a Microsoft Azure MVP, and as of March 17th, I will no longer be part of the MVP program. While I’m sad to no longer be part of that amazing group of people, it’s all for a good reason, as I’ll be joining Microsoft as a Senior Cloud Solution Architect on the App Innovation team.
I’ve been an MVP since January 2017. It’s been an absolute honour to be part of the MVP program. In the last eight years, I’ve met many amazing people and had many fantastic opportunities—speaking at conferences, attending MVP summits, working with students, and helping people adopt the cloud. Joining the MVP program gave me my first push to start speaking at conferences, helping me grow my confidence from talking to 20-30 people in Munich to being on stage at Ignite the tour London in front of hundreds.
I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity, and I hope to continue helping more people as I move into Microsoft. This doesn’t mean the end of my community work—far from it. I’ll continue contributing to the community through speaking, blogging, and video content.
Finally, I want to thank everyone who’s helped me get to where I am: the community, fellow MVPs, and my soon-to-be former colleagues at WTW. Without their support and encouragement, I wouldn’t have been able to do any of this.
So, it’s the end of one era but the start of a new one that I am really excited to get going with!
